The fitness room at Sonngastein covers 110 m² and is professionally equipped with Technogym machines – including panoramic views of the Gastein mountains. In addition, the daily activities in our weekly programme offer a varied mix of guided sessions for every level. Indoors, on the sun deck under the open sky or in nature around our wellness hotel in Salzburg province: stay active with Pilates, HIIT, progressive muscle relaxation and more.

Sonngastein's wellness area includes facilities for relaxation, exercise and time together as a family:
- an indoor pool filled with Gastein thermal water
- two heated outdoor pools
- a Finnish sauna and an infrared sauna
- a designer steam bath
- spacious relaxation areas
- an approximately 110 m² fitness area
- areas for yoga, exercise and relaxation
Is use of the wellness area included?
Yes. Use of the pools, saunas, relaxation areas and fitness facilities is included for overnight hotel guests.
Massages, beauty and cosmetic treatments, thermal-water baths and other treatments are booked and charged separately.
Is the wellness area suitable for families?
Yes. Families can use the indoor thermal pool and the warm social pool together.
The peaceful classic pool with underwater music and the sauna world are generally reserved for adults and teenagers aged 14 and over.
Family sauna sessions take place on Sundays and Thursdays. During these times, younger children may use the sauna world together with their accompanying adults.
Is Sonngastein also suitable for a wellness holiday for two?
Yes. Particularly outside the school holiday periods, the atmosphere in the hotel is often quieter and well suited to a relaxing break for two.
Thermal water, saunas, massages, relaxation areas, yoga and fitness can be combined with high-quality cuisine, guided hikes and other active experiences.
Sonngastein is not an adults-only hotel. Its spacious facilities nevertheless provide couples with plenty of peace, enjoyment and quality time together.
Can massages and beauty treatments be reserved in advance?
Yes. Appointments for massages, beauty treatments and thermal-water baths can be arranged through reception.
During particularly busy travel periods, we recommend booking early, either before your stay or shortly after arrival.
