Kids’ programme at Hotel Sonngastein
“The leisure programme is fantastic, and the childcare is first class!” This is how guests describe our supervised weekly programme for children. In summer, activities include alpine hikes, water games in the hotel pool and creative craft afternoons. In winter, children build snowmen, play on the bouncy castle or unwind with kids’ yoga. Learning to ski and play tennis
Courses for children
A family holiday at Sonngastein is the perfect opportunity to learn tennis or improve existing skills. Our certified tennis coach works with children of all ages and adults – individually, patiently and with real enjoyment of the game. For ski courses, children are picked up directly in front of the hotel in the morning, professionally supervised and taught, provided with lunch and brought back in the afternoon. Meanwhile, parents enjoy carefree hours – on the slopes or relaxing in our wellness area.
From what age can children take part in childcare?
Childcare is available for toilet-trained children from the age of three. The age-appropriate programme combines games, exercise, creativity, nature experiences and shared activities.
When is childcare available?
Childcare is available from Monday to Friday for a total of 42 hours per week.
The exact daily times and activities may change depending on the season, weather conditions and the current weekly programme.
Is childcare included in the stay?
Yes. Regular childcare during the published supervision times is included for hotel guests.
Additional charges may apply to selected external excursions or special services. Any contributions will be stated in the weekly programme or explained before registration.
Do children need to be registered for the programme?
Yes. Registration is required for supervised activities. Please register your child at reception on the previous day.
Reception will also provide information about the meeting point, suitable clothing and any equipment that may be required.
What do children experience during childcare?
The programme changes regularly and may include arts and crafts, pony riding, nature experiences, games, activities in the indoor adventure hall, short excursions and shared group activities.
The current programme is adapted to the season, weather and composition of the group, keeping the activities varied and suitable for the participating children.
