Airhockey
Airhockey is on the platform in our indoor-playground. Please ask at the front desk for the equipment.
Arrival and Departure
On the day of your arrival your room is available from 4.00 p.m. On the day of departure please leave your room by 10.00 a.m.

Beachvolleyball Court (summer)
Sonngastein’s own outdoor beach volleyball court. Please ask at the front desk for the equipment.

Bathrobes
Per person and week you can use free of charge one fluffy Hotel Sonngastein bathrobe. For further changes or washing we charge a small fee. Bathrobes for children available at the front desk.
Bicycles (summer)
Bicycles are free at your disposal in our carports 1 and 2. A variety of beautiful cycle tours through the Gastein valley are waiting to be explored.
Billard
Billards is on the roof of our fairy tale castle in our indoor playground. Please get the equipment at the front desk.

Please make appointments at the front desk.
Board games and card games
Board and card games are available in the big cupboard next to the flipper on the 2nd platform. Please return them after playing and we ask you to use them with care so that other guests may also enjoy them.

Cable cars
Schedules available at the front desk.
Car Train “Tauernschleuse”
Car Train “Tauernschleuse” from Böckstein to Mallnitz. It takes 15 minutes by car to reach the train station Böckstein. Train schedules at front desk.
Childrens’ indoor playground 1.700 m²
The children's indoor playgrounf is open for our resident kids from 08.00 a.m. until 22.00 p.m.
Cross country skiing
70 km tracks throughout the Gastein Valley. Please find maps at the front desk.
Cinema
Our own cinema on the lower ground floor, please find daily film programme on the information board in the hotel lobby.
Cure
The famous “Gastein Thermal Water” can be enjoyed directly in the hotel. Cure department opposite the swimming pool. Ask front desk for appointments.

Darts
On the 2nd platform in the indoor playground. Please get the equipment at the front desk.
Dinner
Is served between 06.30 / 07.00 (Gala-dinner) p.m. and 08.30 p.m. If one night you wish to have dinner elsewhere please inform the front desk by midday at the latest (on the same day) and we will grant you a reduction.
Doctor/Pharmacy
Our general practitioners are Dr. med. Markus and Dr. med. Barbara Wimmer, Bad Gastein. We will make an appointment for you.

Wide choice of dvds at the reception, portable dvd-player also available (for a small fee).

Fitness Gym
Our fitness gym is open from 07.30 a.m. until 19.30 p.m. Children and youngsters under the age of 15 are not admitted (not even in company with adults). Opens with your key card.

Flowers can be organized by our front desk.

Gastein Card
Upon registration at our front desk you are entitled to the so-called “Gastein-Card”. It offers a variety of free or reduced activities in the Gastein Valley (see brochure for details).

Heilstollen
The famous “thermal gallery” of Bad Gastein – Böckstein (most effective means of the Gastein cure) is open from January to November. Please ask the front desk to book a treatment and for more information.
Hiking (summer)
A hiking guide book is available at the front desk. The hotel offers various guided walking tours. See weekly programme. For more information see the front desk.
Horse riding club
Please make your appointment for horseback riding lessons or excursions at the front desk.

Infrared-sauna
Is open daily between 15.30 and 19.30 hrs. Please take your keycard with you. Access through the swimming pool. In the winter open daily from 11.00 a.m. until 19.30 p.m.
Internet/WIFI
Free internet access via Wi-Fi. Code available at the front desk.
Ironing/Washing
You can find an ironing board in our guest laundry on the lower ground floor (-1). The front desk will gladly show you everything. You can also use the wash-machine there: coins obtainable at the front desk (small fee).

Keycard
Opens also the Hotel entrance door. (locked from 22.00 p.m. until 07.00 a.m.), the sauna area and the fitness gym.

Appropriate dress
The way you dress contributes signi-ficantly to a stylish atmosphere in our hotel. We do not approve of our guests wearing bathrobes in our bar and restaurant. For dinner we ask you kindly to wear appropriate dress (no shorts, jogging suits, ski-wear, bathing slippers, etc.). Thank you for your understanding.

Payment
At the end of your stay you can pay your bill with cash, Maestro, Visa, Mastercard, AMEX or JCB/CUP. Please control and sign the restaurant bill every night before you go to bed. We do not accept complaints later

Postcards can be bought at the front desk.

Sauna
is open daily between 15.30 p.m. and 19.30 p.m. For all guests aged 14 and over. Access through the swimming pool with your key card. Please take towels from your room.
Family sauna
On Sundays and Thursdays, from 13.30 pm until 16.30 p.m. all kids under 14 years are also allowed in the sauna area accompanied by their parents or grandparents.
Skiing/Skirental/ Skischool
A folder covering all details of the vast ski area of the Gastein Valley can be obtained at the front desk. Ski-rental is possible at any of the valley stations of Stubnerkogel, Schlossalm, in Angertal, in Sportgastein and in Dorfgastein. Also ski-schools can be found there. Please ask the front desk for detailed information (ski school package).
Ski bus
Our hotel bus takes you to the main access of the main skiing area Stubnerkogel /Schlossalm (Sunday to Friday), “Schlossalm Talstation” and meets you there again in the afternoon (no extra cost). Please ask the front desk for schedule and details.
Skipass
No more queuing for skipasses! You can buy them (1 – 8 days skipasses) directly here in the hotel at the front desk.
Skiroom
The skiroom is outside on your right of the hotel entrance. With ski boots heating. Please use the space reserved for your room for your ski/snowboard equipment.
Sledges
There are some great possibilities for sledging in the winter. Please ask the front desk.
Steam room
It's open daily between 15.30 p.m. and 19.30 p.m. Access through the swimming pool with your key card. Please take towels from your room.
Swimming pool (indoor)
Open between 07.30 a.m. and 19.30 p.m. Its thermal water is free from the healing substance radon. So you can swim as long as you want (no medical consultation necessary).

Table tennis is on the platform in the indoor hall. Rackets and balls at the front desk.

Tennis
The hotel offers 5 outdoor and 2 indoor tennis courts. You are kindly asked to wear only tennis shoes suitable for clay courts. Please put the tennis shoes on direct before you enter the tennis court and also take them off when you leave the tennis court. You can leave the tennis shoes there. During summer free use of the tennis courts (only small fee for the light in the indoor courts), in winter against fee. Booking for tennis at the front desk. Tennis lessons also available. Thermal baths
You can take one thermal bath without prescription. If you wish to take more a doctor’s visit is necessary.
TV

W
Wake up calls
You leave your wishes at the front desk or set it directly on your room telephone (see information in the folder on your desk).
Washing machine
A washing machine and tumble dryer for guests are downstairs. Coins (small fee) at the front desk. We will gladly show you how everything works.
Last but not least
Nobody is perfect – you know this saying. We, however, keep trying to disprove this phrase and to improve our services. For this reason we ask you to let us know anything that is unsatisfactory to you. We are always open for criticism and suggestions for improvement. And - you won’t be surprised to hear that we are also susceptible to positive feed-back.
